White Daimler Hearse
An Expression of Elegance

About this service and why I only require a set donation to charity for its use
Traditionally in the United Kingdom hearses are black to signify mourning. However, because funerals are now being viewed by many as a celebration of life, white hearses are being used more frequently to convey a loved one, although they are still quite a rare commodity. My white hearse is the only one based in the southwest of England.
Over the past few years, my white hearse has been used for the funerals of both ladies & gentlemen equally. It is particularly suited for the funerals of children and teenagers. It has full-length non-tinted windows on each side of where the coffin rests so that it can be seen clearly in its entirety. The coffin rests on a rich walnut-finished deck with cover boards fitted so that the maximum amount of floral and other tributes can be placed around the coffin.
My white hearse is an elegant Daimler XJ 4.0 Super V8 coach-built in the UK by Wilcox, who are the only authorised Daimler/Jaguar coachbuilders worldwide and who were chosen to build the State Hearse in which Her Late Majesty Queen Elizabeth II was conveyed. In fact, it is the exact make & model used for the funeral of Queen Elizabeth, the Queen Mother, except hers was black. Sprayed Fuji white, an official Jaguar/Land Rover colour, which matches both my Range Rover & Freelander, which can be used as the following cars for family members.
The hearse has a private registration number ending in HRH and does not have any business signage. It has a satellite navigation system together with a hands-free mobile phone facility with automatic answering, so any lead or other vehicle can keep in touch with the driver safely. Air conditioning and leather seats add to the hearse's luxurious interior. These same facilities, together with those mentioned in the previous paragraph, also apply to my black Daimler hearse.
I deem it an honour and a privilege to convey a loved one to their final resting place on behalf of the family, and for that reason I could not accept payment myself in return for providing this service. Instead, I ask that a set charitable donation be made, in the loved one's memory, to Torbay Bikers for Kids (Registered Charity No: 1200973), which raises money to purchase essential items that will help improve the lives and/or education of children who are disabled or severely ill, living in Torbay and the surrounding area in South Devon. Hundreds of children have been helped by donations given.
