Ashes Scattering by Aerial Launcher

About this service and why I only require a set donation to charity for its use

If you intend to scatter your loved one's ashes over land or water, using my Ashes Scattering by Aerial Launcher service is a visually appealing and cost-effective method of doing so. Your loved one's ashes can be launched up to 100 ft into the sky and then descend gracefully and disperse onto the land or water below.

A basic recycled cardboard tube is no longer required to scatter loved one's ashes over the ground or the water, which can be unnerving to attempt if never previously done. Neither is the use of a drone to release the ashes, which achieves virtually the same effect as my launcher but at six times the cost. Now there is another option available, and the charge for its use goes to charity.

A specially designed launcher is used, which can be programmed to send your loved one's ashes up to 100 ft into the sky and then descend gracefully and disperse onto the land or water below, subject to the consent of the owner of the land or water.

Constructed in the United States from welded stainless steel and high-quality polyvinyl chloride, the launcher is eco-friendly, as it is powered by compressed air, and sustainable because it requires no maintenance, only a thorough clean after each launch.

The scattering can be either formal or relaxed, with only close family in attendance, or to include extended relatives and friends. A personal talk can take place beforehand, and glasses can be raised afterwards. Attendees can even film the scattering, which will leave a lasting record of the day.

The loved one's ashes can be scattered in just one place that has a special meaning or in several places. It usually takes one launch to scatter the ashes, but this is dependent on the quantity of ashes that the crematorium releases to the funeral home or the family, so it could possibly take two launches. There is no additional donation required for this if the launches take place sequentially and at the same location. In the event the ashes are required by the family to be scattered in two completely different places, a quotation will be given based on the whereabouts of both locations.

The scattering is carried out by an experienced operator in formal funeral attire, and the ashes can be transported to the scatter site in either a white or a black Range Rover, both of which have been adapted to carry the loved one's ashes in a container placed and secured onto a purpose-built deck that is fitted to the top of a catafalque, which is draped in purple crushed velvet material. Framed photographs can be displayed, together with other tributes, and the area can be illuminated. There is no additional donation required for this. I have been transporting the ashes of loved ones by vehicle for ten years, and I have even arranged for ashes to be scattered in memorable places abroad, such as on Mount Everest.

Like my alternative hearse services, I do not require payment for myself for providing this service. Instead, I ask that a set charitable donation be made to Torbay Bikers for Kids (Registered Charity No: 1200973), which raises money to purchase essential items that will help improve the lives and/or education of children who are disabled or severely ill, living in Torbay and the surrounding area in South Devon. Hundreds of children have been helped by donations given.
