Range Rover Hearse
About this unique service and why I only require a set donation to charity for its use
For those who in life enjoyed four-wheel-drive vehicles and/or the countryside, or those who worked the land, a Range Rover hearse would be a perfect reflection of this for their final journey, which will leave a lasting memory for family and friends attending.
The Range Rover is the most prestigious four-wheel-drive vehicle in the world. The manufacturer, Jaguar Land Rover, currently holds two Royal Warrants, and the Range Rover has been popular with the British Royal Family since it was launched in 1970. I personally had my first new Range Rover in 1982.
I have both a black and a white Range Rover, which have been adapted to be used as hearses. They are the only hearses of their type operating in the southwest. The coffin is placed on a specially constructed deck that is situated either in the middle of the hearse, as in the top photograph, or at the near side of the hearse, as in the below photograph. Both Range Rovers can accommodate either configuration. The deck can rise and extend when needed, depending on the dimensions of the coffin. The coffin and the surrounding area can be embellished with floral tributes, photographs, and other items. A specific flag can be draped over the coffin if required. The rear windows of both Range Rovers are tinted to preserve privacy, and illuminated 'Funeral' signs can be displayed on the front and/or on the rear of both hearses.
Like my alternative hearse services, I do not require payment for myself for providing this service. Instead, I ask that a set charitable donation be made to Torbay Bikers for Kids (Registered Charity No: 1200973), which raises money to purchase essential items that will help improve the lives and/or education of children who are disabled or severely ill, living in Torbay and the surrounding area in South Devon. Hundreds of children have been helped by donations given.

The above photograph shows the deck on the near-side configuration. The deck can rise and extend when needed
